An exploration of thoughts, emotion, vegetation and frequency

The Pledge

The swweping plains of Tongariro National Park

Whispers of advice on a rainy night.

On this day we pledge to save the planet by new and creative ways, to capture sustainable energy, reduce and remove CO2 emitting compounds and their equivalents.

To do this is a mighty challenge, a global challenge a unifying challenge, one goal for our humanity.

From this day forward, may the arms trade be represented by two willing hands to build and reconstruct what has been torn asunder. We pledge our legions for the good of the planet not the power of a few.

May our food not be wasted but feed the hungry, our diet reflect our needs not our desire at the expense of the living systems we share the planet with.

We pledge to give a fair go for one and for all nations and the living systems that unite us.

We pledge to retain all old growth forests at today’s levels. We pledge to regenerate and revegetate as much land as possible, with recently cleared a priority to utilise the seedbank and work with nature’s resilience.

We pledge to be 50% more energy efficient by 2020 utilising the carbon accounting and monetary system developed by Denmark, the unit being named ‘The Cope’.

We pledge to be nice to each other, and hate based upon religious convictions be gone.

We pledge to be truthful, honest and respectful of everyone’s attempts and offer support, ideas and encouragement to achieve higher efficiency outcomes than 2009 levels.

We pledge to adopt global cycling standards in all cities of the world.

We pledge offers of higher ground to low lying areas.

We pledge to protect and cherish biodiversity, the variety of all life on our planet Earth, Terra.

The war on Terra must stop. We strive for peace on Earth.

I pledge my waking hours to do the right thing, to trust the universal sense of justice and humanity.

I pledge to share my knowledge and welcome a new way of living and learning.
