Angry Birds & yoga in the tub in the storm

They said “just start writing! Just do it”, and like Forest Gump I just started writing, not really knowing where it was going but I had to start, even I was getting frustrated at my persistent fear induced procrastination.

They were angry birds, very angry birds, really peeved that there was a game about angry birds, and as for the twitter sphere…insult to injury! People destroying the connectivity of corridors, running their avian ancestors out of town, they had every right to be angry, people were playing bird games while their capacity for long-term life diminished daily.

The avians were annoyed. Connect the corridors, if humans can make roads for cars surly there’s a possibility for greenways for the wildlife, the plants need to be connected by their canopies and their roots, a permanent passage for the fauna and fungi to frolic through. Make it happen.

I could hear every word they were saying, they could hear every thought I was thinking and they wanted me to speak out, so now I am. The perfect moment that created the perfect launch pad, a big pink bathtub full of enough warm water to float and gaze up at storm clouds, being immersed out of raindrop’s way and wondering how I am ever going to tell my story and bring about world peace? Now the birds and the trees were urging me on, safety in numbers.

Jubilee, liberation via vegetation, a human vehicle for recognising the worth of all living entities, plant, animal or otherwise. Communicating with sentient beings, feeling their life force, communicating across space, in recognition of time frames that we can’t imagine as humans.

Exploring, discovering and trying to make sense of how we communicate and know each other, working to understand our place in space, that we need to share knowledge and revegetate if we are to have any chance of continuing to live with and within the bounty that earth can provide.

Making it a priority to progress…keep writing.
