Summer 2023 – walking into the lake for a swim
I do look forward to my mental time outs, but they usually generate so many more questions and ideas that it’s quite hard to keep up.
Being immersed in water and surrounded by trees magnifying thoughts, seems to make it all happen, being able to swim with trees around is a perfect combination.
It’s one thing when I hear the birds in words, I expect and anticipate it now, a reminder to get on with the job, time is of the essence, and it’s always interesting what’s uppermost on their mind.
It cranked up a notch when tuning in for a chat with The Captain and The Coach, as I headed off for a swim, when they heard the birds too, very clearly calling their names.
I don’t know who was more surprised. For me hearing my mind mates referred to by the birds was super supportive, but for the dynamic duo and the button pushers behind the scene I think it was something quite extraordinary. For them to be able to capture the correspondence was truly a first.
It was affirmation and confirmation of how there are communication pathways that span across species. They were so happy, so surprised, it was such a hoot to be able to share it with them, a true leap forward in scientific discovery. Its not hard to swim and smile and I was beaming that a breakthrough had occurred and I couldn’t think of any other people better to share the moment with.
Of course it has serious implications. If birds can be heard, and they have thoughts and can process issues that worry them, and there is a vehicle for them to be able to communicate those thoughts, what do we do about it?
Do we reach out to understand the world from their perspective? Do we create a caring community that cares for all sentient beings or do we bury the findings? Call out the communicators as witches and pretend it never happened so we don’t have to admit we are not doing the right thing by all sentient beings that inhabit our earth?
It’s one thing to want to care about life on earth as a human with the power to do something about it, it’s another thing to do something that is being requested by the very beings that you want to support.
12/6/23- Homo stultus
It’s only been a few months since that moment when the blokes in the backroom were jumping for joy having broken the species communication barrier, and the birds were singing the songs of hope. It all came crashing down last night with more revelations whilst in the tub full of thinking. It seems that the recording of that moment of inter species contact had been erased.
To hear so many different species of bird spreading the word, “erased, they’ve erased it”, with such anger and contempt for the human species. That Homo sapiens have turned out to be such a disappointment, that there was so much riding on the humans skills and capacity to transform the world, and yet now they are continuing to steer us all wildly down the path of destruction, Homo stultus.
The trees chipped in, why isn’t anyone exploring the power of chlorophyll as an energy producing mechanism? Why aren’t we looking at a way to harness the light capturing, energetic pathway of plants to solve the energy consumption issue? No need for rare earths, no need for mines and no more destruction, a win-win, grow plants, suck out carbon, power the world in the process.
A quick google search and it seems there was definitely interest in that chlorophyll energy production a decade ago in 2013. ”Chlorophyll from plants have the potential application to be used as a new source of alternative energy” (https://www.ijset.net/journal/102.pdf), “If this concept is perfected and chlorophyll containing organisms can be utilized effectively and efficiently it may very well revolutionize the world of renewable energy” (https://digitalcommons.usf.edu/honorstheses/136/).
A decade on and where has that research gone? Have the mining magnates once again called the shots in their best interests so they can continue mining and plundering instead of learning and growing? Is the potential to disrupt corrupt?
The birds told me to speak up and let the boffins know that they know what they have done. I have done what I can do today.
